The tumblers (3) contain at least one bore (8) and these bores can be aligned using the key (1). A sliding latch bolt (4) extending through the tumblers via these bores is provided with a row of guide cams (9) separated by release grooves (10). Turning the cylinder core (2) will result in the guide cams lying opposite the tumblers. When the cylinder core is not turned, the release grooves lie opposite the tumblers. An Independent claim is also included for the key for this lock, with flat sides containing milled cavities (14) extending at right angles to the key insertion direction, the cavities extending approximately to the middle of the key.
