<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for evaluating the effect of intervention that can dispense with or reduce the use of a group for controlling a group of patients dosed with pseudo medicine, a group of persons who are not in health promoting activity, or the like. <P>SOLUTION: Items regarding the health of each individual of a group to be intervened are measured before intervention to obtain the average value and standard deviation of the whole group of the measured value of each individual of the group to be intervened, and a "recursion portion to the average" which is a value equivalent to recursion to the average of the group to be intervened is estimated using the standard deviation. After intervention, each individual of the group to be intervened is measured in the same way to obtain the average value of the whole group to be intervened. The difference of the average value before and after the intervention is obtained, and this value is compared with the "recursion portion to the average" to evaluate a true effect of the intervention in the group to be intervened. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
