PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bending device where a foot pedal freely movable to right and left directions is lightened, thus the foot pedal is made drivable with reduced power, and which contributes to the safety of an operator and to laborsaving. SOLUTION: The bending device comprises: a rotary bar 3 elongating to the longitudinal direction (X-axis direction) of upper and lower tables 12, 13 and provided freely rotatably so as to start a ram 12; and a ram starting part 1 composed of a step tool 2 freely moved and positioned on the rotary bar 3 to the longitudinal direction (X-axis direction), and when being positioned to a prescribed position X, rotatively operating the rotary bar 3 owing to holding with a foot F by an operator S and whose breaking therein.
