<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell which is hygienic, or which does not impart unpleasant feeling to a user. <P>SOLUTION: In the fuel cell 100 which is equipped with a cell 12 having an anode 10, a cathode 16, and an electrolyte layer 14 pinched by the anode 10 and the cathode 16, and with a cabinet 24 that holds the cell 12 inside, the cabinet 24 has an antibacterial function.
