A plasma display panel is provided to lower an address driving voltage in an address discharge period by using an electron emission unit for emitting electrons into discharge cells. A first and second substrates(111,112) are separated at a predetermined interval from each other. A barrier rib(120) is positioned between the first and second substrates in order to define a plurality of discharge cells(190). A plurality of pairs of sustain electrodes(130) are formed on the first substrate. A plurality of address electrodes(140) are formed on the second substrate. A first dielectric layer(151) is formed to bury the pairs of sustain electrodes. A second dielectric layer(152) is formed to bury the address electrodes. An electron emission unit(160) includes a base electrode disposed on the second dielectric layer, an electron acceleration layer disposed on the base electrode, and an emission electrode disposed on the electron acceleration layer. A phosphor layer(170) is disposed within each of the discharge cells. The discharge cells are filled with discharge gas.
