PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hardware/software cooperative simulation device and its method capable of improving operation speed for cooperative simulation. SOLUTION: In a cooperative simulation environment of a system simulator 1 and a hardware emulator 2 for verifying an operation model described by a C language and the like, a counter 8 is arranged in the hardware emulator 2 for counting a frequency of a signal change during the first simulation execution. A control part 6 receives count results 81-83. When the same simulation is executed again, based on the count results 81-83, the control part 6 performs control for reading only the signal required for simulation from an address decoder 7. In this way, a communication frequency between the system simulator 1 and the hardware emulator 2 is minimized in the second and the following simulation. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
