METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR GENERATING TRANSCODABLE ENCRYPTED CONTENT

<p>Methods and systems for generating transcodable encrypted content that includes independently processable components are disclosed. In one embodiment, transcodable content is accessed that includes independently processable components to be encrypted. At least one of the independently processable components is encrypted to provide independently processable components which are independently decryptable. Moreover, the encrypting is performed using an encryption scheme that utilizes non-repeating identifiers that uniquely correspond to the independently processable components. The transcodable encrypted content is transcodable without requiring knowledge of the encryption scheme.</p>
