A mask apparatus for a flat display device and a fabricating method using the same are provided to improve the productivity of flat display device by extending a replacement period of the mask. A mask apparatus for a flat display device forms a thin film on a substrate by using a mask with an opening pattern(69a,69b,69c) selectively penetrating deposits. The mask includes a coating film coated with polytetrafluoroethylene. The coating film(71) prevents the deposits from adhering to the opening pattern of the mask.
