Components and/or assemblies are constructed as modules (2) contacted on one or more sides. Each is surrounded by a frame (3). Pegs (5) with surrounding grooves project at right angles from the planes of the modules. When the modules are assembled, sprung catch sections (11) of locking springs (4) snap into the grooves. Application of a force to one side of the locking springs, releases the catch sections (11) from the grooves (6), hence unlocking and releasing the associated module for separation.
