PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely prevent an erroneous mounting related to ink color when a recording head removably (interchangeably) mounted on a recording apparatus main body is interchanged with a simple and low-cost constitution in an inkjet recording apparatus. SOLUTION: When interchanging the recording head is detected (Step S601), ink color information on ink filled in a plurality of nozzles of the recording head is read from the recording head mounted on the recording apparatus main body by interchanging (S602), and whether the head is a new article or a used article is judged by judging whether it coincides with information on a clear ink with no coloring matter (S603), and if it is a new article, interchanging is permitted. In addition, if it is a used article, whether the ink color information of the head coincides with the ink color information of the ink fed after it is interchanged to the head at the mounting position, is judged (S606). When it coincides with the information, interchanging is permitted, but when it does not coincide with it, an error information that the interchanging is rejected is performed (S607).
