<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmission device capable of preventing inappropriate deletion of learning information caused by a trouble in a path, and to provide a method of maintaining learning information. <P>SOLUTION: The transmission device 400 comprises a protocol conversion means for allowing identification information for identifying the transmission path of a source, when a protocol is converted to associate a source address set with a converted packet for storing in a storage means; a trouble detection means for detecting the transmission path in which a trouble occurs; and a dummy packet transmission means for acquiring the source address corresponding to the identification information of the transmission path in which the occurrence of the trouble is detected from the information stored in the storage means, and transmitting a dummy packet where the acquired source address is designated as the source address, for preventing the deletion of the learning information. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
