<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain information recording paper that has slight heating curl after printing by an electrophotographic copying machine or a leather beam printer, excellent operability, slight curl after being allowed to stand, reduced cock ring and bleeding after printing in an ink-jet printer, excellent printing qualities and bulkiness and stiffness and to provide a method for producing the same. <P>SOLUTION: The information recording paper contains an organic compound having an inhibitory action on a bond between fibers of pulp and is treated by a shoe calender equipped with a metal roll and a shoe roll with an endless belt made of an elastic resin.
