A method of cleaning a waste hopper of an imaging cartridge for a printer or copier machine for subsequent re-use. The method involves, providing strategically placed apertures in the hopper and applying a vacuum to one or more of the apertures to create a turbulent air stream within the hopper acting to clean the hopper of waste material. This method is less time consuming and laborious compared to the prior art which employs nozzles which are inserted in the hopper to blow out the waste and complete removal of all the waste is difficult to achieve. |
