<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a three-phase power converter capable of size and cost reductions. <P>SOLUTION: A three-phase converter circuit 3, a capacitor 6 and a three-phase inverter circuit 7 are sequentially connected between a first, a second and a third AC input terminal 1a, 1b, 1c and a first, a second and a third AC output terminal 2a, 2b, 2c, and a common mode current detector 10 is also provided. A first and a second converter switch of a first phase of the three-phase converter circuit 3 are controlled so as to suppress a common mode current.
