PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain a printout capable of discriminating whetheror not a printted matter is copyed when a copingy is performed by using an ink jet recording apparatus.

SOLUTION: A printer driver 411 for generating print image data output to the ink jet recording apparatus 500 capable of forming multi-value dots by jetting liquid droplets of recording liquid applies image processing such as CMM, BG/UCR/γ correction, and medium processing to an image of an original to convert the image into original image data compatible with the multi-value dots outputtable from the ink jet recording apparatus 500, an original/background pattern composite section 418 overlaps the original image data with multi-value data of an image pattern denoting a copy inhibit document from a background pattern generating section 419 to produce print image data compatible with the multi-value dots outputtable from the ink jet recording apparatus 500.
