<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a writing utensil with a grip member of a simple structure which allows easy introduction of a pocket or a note into itself and does not loose its hold easily. <P>SOLUTION: In this writing utensil with the grip member fitted in one piece with or attached to a tube, a securing protrusion which extends in the axial center direction and comes into contact with a barrel, is juxtaposed on the inner wall of an apex part of the grip member.
