<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an airbag device for a vehicle capable of obtaining high-speed development of the bag while avoiding enlargement of the size of an air supply means. <P>SOLUTION: The airbag device mounted to the vehicle is provided with a bag energizing means energizing the bag so as to facilitate the development of the bag in supplying the air by the air supply means. The bag energizing means uses, for example, a sheet-shaped member which is mounted opposing to the air supply side by the air supply means on the inner surface of the bag, and generates a repulsive force by receiving the gas supplied by the air supply means.
