<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a life jacket of which the bomb is activated in a short period of time upon landing on the water to make the life jacket body expand immediately. <P>SOLUTION: This life jacket comprises a bomb 2 operated upon its contact with water, a life jacket body that is expandable by the bomb and a wrapping coat 1 for storing both the bomb and the life jacket body. Air discharging slit 4 is formed at the upper part of the wrapping coat. The wrapping coat has two front bodices and a rear bodice connecting these front bodices. The front bodice is constituted by connecting the upper cloth with the lower cloth.
