PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a temporary manhole cover enabling construction to be free from problems about spring water afterward by sucking water in a construction completion part through pumping water constantly at a manhole with a submerged pump since there arise many problems about spring water in sewage construction and the water level in the manhole under construction is the deepest and enabling one traffic control member to monitor several places when one traffic control member must always be stationed to monitor one place at the time of pumping with the submerged pump and working in the manhole with the manhole opened. SOLUTION: The temporary manhole cover is an almost lattice shaped cover with a size enough to be inserted into a receiving frame of a manhole cover and has excellent ventilation and daylighting efficiency and closes the whole manhole and always pumps water using the submerged pump by arranging a through hole for passing a hose or the like of the submerged pump in a cover body. Three fastening metal pieces 4 are respectively arranged at three positions of an outer frame ring 1, so that the temporary manhole cover is not raised and does not come off by traffic of cars and dose not hinder traffic of the cars, and internal work in the manhole is carried out and falling accident of pedestrians is prevented and slipping off of car wheels is prevented.
