<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a server, a system and a method for list management which reduce a burden on a watcher or a manager in association with update of a list and which prevents the list from being rewritten illegally. <P>SOLUTION: A buddy list management part 5a stores a buddy list transmitted from a receiver terminal 2, and manages the buddy list. A control part 5b receives an update request and identification information of a third party terminal 4 from the third party terminal 4. When the control part 5b receives the update request and the identification information from the third party terminal 4, the control part 5b utilizes the received identification information and determines whether a third party has update authority of the buddy list.
