PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a palletizing apparatus which simplifies work for stacking bandled articles in a distorted unstable shape on a pallet and allows a use of a palletizing robot, and to provide a palletizing method using the palletizing apparatus. SOLUTION: The pallet P is kept placed on the bottom board 1 of a support, and the support is inclined at least in one direction. While the end of a wrap film 4 is held on a film holder 6, a roll support tool 5 is moved along two sides of the bottom board 1 that have side boards 2, 3 to roll out the wrap film 4 from a roll R in the length equivalent to the half of the periphery of the bottom board 1. The bundled articles are then so stacked vertically on the pallet P that the articles are leaned against the side boards 2, 3. Subsequently, the roll support tool 5 is moved along the two sides of the bottom board 1 that have no side boards 2, 3 to roll out the wrap film 4 further in the length of the half of the periphery.
