PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a correction of the unevenness of the impact positions of inks due to the state of paper surface for a recorder. SOLUTION: The distance between a recording head 1 and an opposite recording material 2 is detected by a sensor 5 between papers of a carriage 4 provided at the upstream of a printer. Based on this detected signal, the unevenness of the impact of the ink droplets between lines is corrected by adjusting the timing for heating a heater to deliver inks during printing without receiving the affection of printing in an outward-trip printing, a return-trip printing and a multi-pass printing.
