PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a conveying device and a conveying method capable of easily varying the attitude even when conveying a small component. SOLUTION: A conveying member 66 is blasted in order to smooth the surface. The conveying member 66 is provided with a core conveying groove 66a spirally formed around an axis thereof so as to convey a magnetic core not illustrated. A cross section of the core conveying groove 66a is formed to be a generally rectangular shape in a size wherein the magnetic core can be housed along the longitudinal direction. A starting point 66a1 of the core conveying groove 66a is positioned on an upper end of a first pallet 61 side end of the conveying member 66, and an end point 66a2 of the core conveying groove 66a is positioned on a lower end of an opposite start point 66a1 side end of the conveying member 66.
