<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery allowing an electrode plate group to be smoothly inserted into a limited battery case, capable of eliminating damage to a separator and of preventing occurrence of internal leak, and having sufficient capacity, in a battery composed by housing, in a case, an electrode plate group formed by rolling, by interlaying a separator, a positive electrode plate formed by applying a positive electrode mix containing a positive electrode active material to a surface of a positive electrode collector and a negative electrode plate formed by applying a negative electrode mix containing a negative electrode active material to a surface of a negative electrode collector. <P>SOLUTION: An insulation tape 21 is stuck to an application end of the positive electrode mix where the thickness of the positive electrode mix 22 is slantingly reduced; and the thickness (b) of the positive electrode plate in that part is set not greater than the thickness (a) of the other part to which the positive electrode mix is applied. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
