PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector and a connection method for the connector wherein a contact and a cable core wire can be easily soldered, and a soldered part can be easily viewed after soldering. SOLUTION: In the connector 10 provided with a plurality of contacts 14 having connection parts 20 connected with a cable 16 and a housing 12 wherein the contacts 14 are held and arranged, the connection parts 20 of the contacts 14 are nearly L-shaped so that the core wire 18 of the cable 16 is loaded, a groove part 30 wherein the connection parts 20 of the contacts 14 and the core wire 18 of the cable 16 are exposed is provided in the housing 12, and the connection parts 20 of the contacts 14 and the core wire 18 of the cable 16 are connected in the groove part 30 by soldering.
