The device has a surface structure detachably fastened over a base of a loading space. A side of the structure has a tenso-elastic fastening unit for fastening over the base. The structure has bending resistant cover units (1, 9) which are swivellably connected with one another, where the units are arranged in lamellar form. A sealing agent such as a stop unit (8), limits the deviation of the cover units in the locking direction.
