PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyamide resin composition having excellent mechanical characteristics typified by strength and modulus, also having excellent toughness, durability, friction and abrasion resistance, and low water absorptivity. SOLUTION: The polyamide resin composition is obtained by compounding 100 pts.mass of a polyamide resin (A) containing 0.5-20 mass% silicate layers of swelling phyllosilicate homogeneously dispersed at a molecular level, with 0.1-4 pts.mass of an organic compound (B) having two or more functional groups such as epoxy groups and acid anhydride groups in one molecule.
