<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spectacle lens in which a very small IC chip is embedded, its manufacturing method, and a spectacle information read system. <P>SOLUTION: The radio recognizable IC chip 10 equipped with a memory stored with information regarding the lens is fixed in a lens holder fitting portion 11 formed at an edge surface of the spectacle lens 2, and an end-piece 5 is fitted and fixed in the lens holder fitting portion 11.
