SPHERICAL PARTICULATE SILICONE ELASTOMER, METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME AND COSMETIC

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a spherical particulate silicone elastomer without using a metal-based curing catalyst such as platinum or tin-based catalyst and provide a cosmetic free from emission of odor with time. SOLUTION: The spherical particulate silicone elastomer is composed mainly of a silicone elastomer and has an average particle diameter of 0.1-500μm. The particulate can be produced by carrying out the condensation reaction of (a) a polyorganosiloxane having≥2 silanol groups in one molecule with (b) an organotrialkoxysilane expressed by general formula R1Si(OR2)3without using a metal-based catalyst, emulsifying the obtained crosslinkable polyorganosiloxane in water in the presence of (c) a surfactant and crosslinking the product by condensation reaction without using a metal-based catalyst.
