<p>The appts. consists of an induction furnace which can pivot about an axis coaxial with the pouring hole. Metal from this hole, is passed into a covered recipient which can be centred directly above the hole in the mould and is of sufficient size to hold an exact quantity of metal for a time sufficient to carry out a given number of castings. Inoculants are added to the metal in this recipient. The whole appts. can be displaced orthogonally with respect to the recipient.</p> |
