<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal silicon powder for non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery negative electrode material which can be obtained at low cost, has a high cycle performance, and enables manufacturing of a negative electrode of a lithium ion secondary battery, and a negative electrode material for a non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery. <P>SOLUTION: This is the metal silicon powder for non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery negative electrode consisting of a metal silicon powder which is obtained by reducing silica rock and refining it metallurgically, and of which impurity quantity is reduced by metallurgical and/or chemical refining after refinement. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
