<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus which is capable of suppressing a picked-up image from being affected by dust even if the dust is stuck on an imaging device or an optical system thereof. <P>SOLUTION: Pixel positions corresponding to dust present in an imaging device and an optical system thereof are detected from a picked-up image for dust detection.
