<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flexible tube which can reduce noise generated in flowing gas without deteriorating the flexibility. <P>SOLUTION: A numeral 1 indicates a bellows portion. A numeral 2 indicates a flexible tube composed of a resinoid tube or a metallic tube having the bellows portion 1 which can be longitudinally deformed and can be freely bent. A numeral 3a indicates a concave large diameter portion. A numeral 4 indicates a convex portion. A helicoidal belt element 6, which can longitudinally elongate and has a required width, is fitted in the inside diameter portion of the flexible tube 2. The helicoidal belt element 6 is made of resinoid material or metallic material. The outside diameter d of the helicoidal belt element 6 is formed so as to be nearly equal to the inside diameter D of the flexible tube 2 in the free state in the longitudinal direction.
