PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packaging box which improves compressive strength under a closure, simplifies assembly and reduces a necessary material area. SOLUTION: The packaging box has its upper end opening of a box body 2 closed with a separate lid 10 including a top wall 11 of the same shape as that of the box body 2 and sidewalls 12A-12D respectively connected with the outer periphery of the top wall 11. The box is structured so that a lower end of at least part of the sidewalls 12A-12D of the lid 10 reaches the lower surface of a bottom wall 3 of the box body 2 while the box body 2 is closed with the lid 10.
