PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packaging box capable of easily packaging and opening a package for some products such as a printer, copier and facsimile and the like. SOLUTION: There is provided a packaging box having some shock-absorbing materials therein. An upper flap 50 is constituted by a pair of first upper flaps 50a, 50c oppositely positioned when the box is assembled to be formed, and a pair of second upper flaps 50b, 50d oppositely positioned below the first upper flaps when the box is assembled to be formed. The shock-absorbing materials include a pair of lower shock-absorbing materials 2 arranged at the positions where they are oppositely faced while holding the lower end of an item. Each of the second upper flaps 50b, 50d is folded along folding lines 5b, 5d formed at the upper edge of the side wall 20 cooperatively arranged to them at a side where they overlap on the side wall inside the box. The extremity ends of the folded portions are abutted against the upper surface of the lower shock-absorbing material 2 at the positions where they are oppositely faced while holding the lower end of the item to depress against the upper surface of the lower shock-absorbing material 2, thereby the lower shock-absorbing material 2 is held by the box 1 so as to accomplish the packaging box.
