PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable securer communication easily and inexpensively utilizing an existing facility. SOLUTION: The information communication system comprises a PKI system 4 for storing receiver information, i.e. the ID and mail address of a receiver, in association with a public key, a mail check server 11 for authenticating electronic data upon receiving from a transmitter terminal 1, acquiring the public key of the receiver from the PKI system 4 based on the receiver information included in the electronic data and then transmitting the electronic data while being encrypted with the public key, and an information authentication server 6 for receiving the encrypted electronic data through communication apparatus 3 and 5 and transmitting the encrypted electronic data to a receiver terminal 9 in response to a request therefrom.
