<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To dissolve a fault that even a user who desires to use a literary work in small scale is uniformly charged by editing the literary work small and printing only a part of an image of the literary work when the user prints the image of the literary work with a printer. <P>SOLUTION: Image data to which an amount to be paid when printing is preliminarily added are inputted, editing processing is performed to the inputted image data, the amount to be paid is changed according to the content of the editing processing, charging is performed according to the changed amount to be paid and outputted. Thus, fine charging setting is performed to image data in which a copyright is set according to a use form. Therefore, the literary work is easily used at a satisfactory price.
