<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve the miniaturization and power saving of the device even if an auxiliary light source for photographing is built into a camera. <P>SOLUTION: A plurality of LED elements and a projection lens for projecting their respective radiation light are arranged on the front of the camera. When carrying out flash illumination, the individual LED elements are driven by time division with high luminance and pulse light emission is caused by taking a long light emission period.
