PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide simple and inexpensive lubrication countermeasures for the sliding section of electronic equipment using compressed wood as an exterior material. SOLUTION: The electronic equipment has the exterior materials 11, 12 made of the compressed wood. Carbonization layers 11d, 12e are formed at sliding sections 11c, 12d in the exterior materials 11, 12. The carbonization layers are formed on the surface of the sliding section. In the electronic equipment using the compressed wood as the exterior materials 11, 12, carbon for composing the carbonization layer functions as a solid lubrication material by forming the carbonization layers 11d, 12e on the sliding sections 11c, 12d, thus easily and inexpensively lubricating the sliding sections.
