<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a monitoring system and a game medium dispenser which enable the monitoring of the game machine using an IC tag regardless of the space of the game machine island. <P>SOLUTION: The dispenser 30 for dispensing the game media is provided with an RF circuit 38 for the communication with a monitoring tag 86 set up on the game machine, transmits the call wave to the monitoring tag 86 through a monitoring antenna 68 and receives the return of the reflected wave from the monitoring tag 86.
