PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow an organic luminescent surface device to have high optical transmittance on the side distant from a substrate, and to allow an electrode distant from a substrate to keep low sheet resistance and to be formed at a temperature conflicting with an organic functional layer.
SOLUTION: This method is used for manufacturing an organic luminescent surface device (OLED). In a method for continuously forming a first junction type electrode, the organic functional layer and a second junction type electrode on a substrate, the method is used for manufacturing the second junction type electrode in a form of an interference layer system having (n) metal auxiliary layers and (n+1) oxide auxiliary layers, the layers are so arranged as to be paired to catch one of the metal auxiliary layers (n is an integer ≥1). This method has advantages that extremely high optical transmittance can be accomplished in the design of a top-emitter OLED covering a large surface area, and an operation below 10V is enabled by keeping the sheet resistance of the junction type electrode located separately from the substrate very low.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
