PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a woven fabric having an iridescent color and rich in universality by a method applicable to not only a woven fabric having a general structure but also a woven fabric with normal derivative weave with a simple restriction. SOLUTION: The woven fabric having the iridescent color is obtained by using different color yarns in warp and weft yarns. The thickness of one of the warp and weft yarns is thinned than the other of the warp and weft yarns. The yarn count of the thin one of the warp and weft yarns per unit area is set so as to be higher than that of the other warp or weft yarn. Preferably, the thickness of the warp yarn is 160-330T, and the counts of the warp and weft yarns per 1 mm<SP>2</SP>are 4.4-6.1, and 3.30-4.3 respectively. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
