PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make numerous terminals and cables unnecessary when a digital image signal taken by a selected camera is transmitted in a system in which numerous cameras are connected. SOLUTION: A sync source device 1 outputs a clock signal, a horizontal synchronous signal, a vertical synchronous signal, and a digital image signal GVIF which is a multiplexed intermitting camera selection signal. A plurality of cameras are connected in a chain form, from which a signal which is an image signal taken multiplexed into the digital image signal GVIF is outputted at a subsequent stage when the camera selection signal included in the digital image signal GVIF inputted selects its own camera for the sync source device 1, and from which the digital image signal GVIF is outputted as it is at the subsequent stage when the camera selection signal does not select its own camera. The digital image signal including the image signal taken by the camera selected by the camera selection signal is outputted from an end of cameras 5 connected in a chain form.
