PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a television receiver of a wall mount type for a bathroom to which a power supply and an external television antenna are connected that permits viewing and listening of video audio signals received from an external device while simplifying the configuration of a device or the like for input and output of control lines and a control signal. SOLUTION: The television receiver for bathrooms includes: an input changeover circuit 31 that is wired-connected to an external input jack 13 installed outside the bathroom, receives a signal given to the external input jack 13, and switchingly selects either of the signal given to the external input jack 13 and a video audio signal demodulated by a television tuner 33 for receiving a television radio wave; and an input signal detection circuit 32 for detecting the input from the external input jack 13 and automatically allowing the input changeover circuit 31 to switchingly select the input signal from the external input jack 13 when the detection circuit 32 detects the signal input from the external input jack 13.
