VOLUME REDUCTION APPARATUS AND VOLUME REDUCTION METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a volume reduction apparatus capable of keeping the shape during compression of resource refuse having stability of some extent and adaptible of objects different in material or size. SOLUTION: The volume reduction apparatus which can exert deformation against the stability of a processing object is equipped with a charging port (33a) which is formed larger than the shell diameter of processing object (70) and is formed longer in a straight line shape than the shell diameter of the processing object (70) and an outlet (33c) from which the processing object (70) is delivered. The mechanism is equipped with roller members( 31) for volume reduction which are arranged opposite to each other so as to hold the processing object (70) in-between from both sides and roll in and press the processing object (70), and members (32) for plastic deformation which deform the processing object (70) to prevent the processing object (70) from being restored to approximately a cylindrical shape by rotational motion in a feed direction of the processing object (70) pressed by the roller members (31) for volume reduction.
