<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrographic type image forming apparatus for forming superior images, by improving optical memories, such as exposure memory, untransferred memory and destaticization memory and preventing ghosts or charging nonuniformity from appearing on the formed image. <P>SOLUTION: In an image forming apparatus 100 comprising a charging means for charging a photosensitive body 1, an exposure means for exposing the front surface of the photosensitive body 1, a development means for forming a toner image, a transport means 9 for transporting a transfer material 8, a transfer means 5 for transferring the toner image onto the transfer material 8, a toner removal means for removing the remaining toner on the photosensitive body 1 and a destaticization means for destaticizing electric charges resulting from irradiating the photosensitive body 1 with destaticizing light, a control means 11 is provided to change a charging voltage to be applied by the charging means for charging the photosensitive body 1 according to the change in the surface potential due to the reflected light, with regard to a part of the photosensitive body 1 irradiated with reflected light of the destaticizing light on the transfer material 8. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
