摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inexpensively constitute a communication apparatus, to eliminate a constraint due to a limit of a bending radius of an optical fiber, and to prevent mixing of noise into a signal. SOLUTION: This device performs a signal transmission between two component elements 10 and 3 mutually connected so that a relative motion may be performed via a joint 8 of a robot. The device is provided with an optical passage 12 formed in the joint 8, and optical communication means 13 and 14 provided in each of the component elements 10 and 3 to mutually perform optical communication via the optical passage 12.
