PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently and laconically collect information useful for a user. SOLUTION: The information collection device comprises a request acceptance part accepting an information acquisition request containing a theme designated by the user and the importance thereof; a request storage part storing the accepted information acquisition request in a database; an information retrieval part retrieving information relevant to the theme contained in the information acquisition request stored in the database by a method according to the importance contained in this information acquisition request to acquire retrieved information; an information storage part storing the retrieved information in association with the information acquisition request concerned in a database; and an information output part outputting the retrieved information stored in the database.
