PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cylindrical body supporting device which can prevent deformations of a coil into an oval shape and a dent caused by a support member for stably supporting the coil, without need of a particular adjustment mechanism using an outer force like a hydraulic pressure even if the coil shape is changed by shrinkage and weight of the coil itself, etc., when the coil wound after hot rolling is cooled down, and further to provide the cylindrical body supporting device which can stably support with a single unit machine structure and prevent the deformation of the cylindrical body even if the cylindrical bodies have a variety of outer diameters. SOLUTION: The supporting device is used for placing the cylindrical body in an eye-horizontal posture and is equipped with a pair of shafts arranged almost horizontally and parallel each other and a plurality of arms attached rotatably to the pair of shafts respectively.
