PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a residual oil returning tool capable of easily returning the oil remaining in an appliance tank to an oil reservoir tank without getting hands dirty. SOLUTION: In this residual oil returning tool used in a state of being mounted on an opening part of the oil reservoir tank, a cylindrical main body part 16 having an oil flow passage 14 is mounted, a receiving part 26 for receiving an oiling part 30 of the appliance tank 28 is mounted on one end part of the cylindrical main body part 16, and a projecting part 34 acting on a valve element 32 mounted on the oiling part 30 is mounted on the receiving part 26, so that the projecting part 34 acts on the valve element 32 of the oiling part 30 to open the valve element when the oiling part 30 of the appliance tank 28 is inserted into the receiving part 26 of the cylindrical main body part, and the residual oil in the appliance tank 28 is discharged to the oil reservoir tank through the oil flow passage 14 of the cylindrical main body part 16.
